Hey all beauty geeks!!! How are you all?? I am back with another DIY, though this time the object of love and affection is our beloved hair. A weekly treatment of this mask has given life back to my dull and damaged hair. So, if you are struggling to get the shine back to your mane or just want to maintain healthy hair, this hair pack is your answer. 🙂
Though I still resort to readymade hair packs to save time, I have made a weekly routine to apply this hair pack. A lazy person like me can stick to a schedule only if it is mandatory or if it shows instant results. 😉 Well, this mask started giving me results from the very first day of application. My hair was thicker, softer and I just could not resist touching it again and again. So, I pledged to take care of my hair, along with my face. And since it worked, I am here to share it with you lovely people. 😉
Ingredients Required:
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise (do not get scared by the huge bottle of mayo; I use it for sandwiches also 🙂
- 2/3rd ripe banana
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Benefits of the hair pack:
Mayonnaise: Mayonnaise is like a ‘ram baan’ for dry and damaged hair. The eggs present in the mayo give the required protein to your hair and make it stronger. The vinegar in the mayo restores the healthy pH level of the hair. The oils of the mayo moisturize and condition your hair from really deep within. This also protects the hair from the harmful and drying effects of numerous styling products. The mayo helps to make hair denser and give them more shine.
Banana: Banana again!!! It is my all-time favourite DIY ingredient. 🙂 Bananas are equally good for hair as well. Because of the presence of so many vitamins and minerals, bananas make your hair strong, soft and reduce the damage caused by heat.
Olive Oil: Well no one needs an introduction to olive oil for healthy hair. It should be a part of your overnight oil treatment for hair. If not, start right away girls!!! Olive oil is a powerhouse for getting you healthy, shiny and strong hair.
Preparation and Application:
Step 1: Smash and smoothen the banana pulp.
Step 2: Add the required amount of mayo and olive oil.
Step 3: Mix the ingredients to get a smooth mixture. The consistency of the pack would be slightly runny.
Step 4: Apply this hair pack on damp hair. You can either wash your hair beforehand or use a spray bottle to dampen your hair. I told you I am really lazy. 🙂
Step 5: Leave it on for 30-45 minutes. If it is dripping, you can wear a shower cap or just top-knot your hair.
Step 6: Shower the pack away completely. Use a mild shampoo to wash your hair. No need for conditioner today girls.
Let the hair dry and experience the transformation happening. 🙂
Hope you guys liked and will use this pack. Cya later 🙂

Somehow this mask doesn’t feel right to me, it’s because of the mayo! But if it works, maybe I’ll try one day. 😀
Have a nice day ❤
I used to make a mask like this, but without a banana. This recipe is great, I have to try it 🙂
