Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Review, Swatches and EOTD

Hey all beauty geeks!!! Today I am going to review Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate. This is one of those few makeup products that I still use in spite of having access to some amazing international brands. This kohl has been, till date, one of my most satisfied eye makeup buys. I still wear it every single day and thought of reviewing it for you guys, before I finish this gorgeous eye pencil. 😉

My take on Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate:

Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate is packaged as a very sleek and long eye pencil. It has a smudger on one end and a sharpener with a cover on another end. I find the packaging to be very stylish and very comparable to international brands. The smudger is decent and works beautifully to give you a nice, smoky effect. However, I find it little harsh on the eyelids and I rarely use it. I use a soft smudging brush to smoke out the kohl. The sharpener is little disappointing and gives a very uneven result. It also tends to waste a lot of product. I do not use it at all and prefer my Oriflame eye pencil sharpener to do the needful.

Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate is the ultimate black you would ever have. I think it almost rivals Urban Decay 24/4 eye pencil in Perversion. It has the same intensity and almost same creamy texture. I have both and sometimes I use Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate in place of Urban Decay Perversion as it is damn expensive. The Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate has a creamy but little dry texture. It is blendable for first 10-20 seconds and then sets absolutely. It applies very smoothly and does not drag at all on the lids.

• Easily blendable for first few seconds.
• Does not smudge.
• Lasts for long on the upper lid.
• Does not irritate eyes.
• Applies smoothly, without any dragging.
• Creamy and smooth texture.
• Good amount of kohl.

Cons of Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate:

• Does not last for long on my waterline.
• Don’t like the provided sharpener.
• Sharpening leads to product wastage.

Recommendation: As you can see from the size of the kohl, I love this eye pencil and this is a regular buy for me when in India. If you are still thinking about buying it because of the price, believe me you get the highest quality with this kohl. Super crazy pigmentation with no smudging the entire day. What more can you expect from a kohl. A must buy for all kajal and smokey eye lovers alike. This is a must have product for me. 🙂
