Every woman loves experimenting with their hair. And if you love changing your hair from straight to wavy to curly, you know how expensive salon treatments can be. So, if you want to achieve salon-style curly hair at home, allow us to show you some hair-curling tips and tricks using hair curlers

1. Prep and protect your hair: Before you begin curling your hair, make sure your hair is completely dry and not damp. Apply a heat protectant spray and allow it to settle in before you start curling. Also, detangle your to make sure you don’t end up burning them.

2. Pick the right temperature: If you are using a curling iron, you must choose the right temperature to avoid damaging your hair. For thin or damaged hair, the right temperature is 180 F to 370 F. Whereas, for people with healthy hair, they should use a temperature around 370 F. Similarly, 400 F is enough for those with thick hair.

3. How to use a curling iron: A curling iron with a clamp will give you control over the device and also make your curls last longer. Start by taking tiny sections of hair at a time and wrap them around the curler. Hold it for 10 seconds before letting it loose. Repeat this until all your hair is curled.

4. How to curl with a flat iron: Want beachy waves? You can achieve them with a hair straightener, too! For that, wrap your section of hair around the flat iron and slide it down towards the tips. Let the curls cool down before you repeat the process with the next section of hair.

5. How to use a curling wand: For looser curls, a curling wand is perfect. Hold the wand vertically, with the tip pointing down. Wrap a section of your hair around the wand and then twist it away from your face until you reach the tip.

6. How to use hot rollers: Hot rollers are just as effective as other curling devices. Take a hot roller and start wrapping your hair around in sections, starting from the tip and working your way up towards the roots. Do the same on the rest of your hair, and let the roller cool off before you wind off.

7. How to use Velcro or foam rollers: Velcro and foam rollers will give you tight curls. You need to start when your hair is partially wet. Start wrapping sections of your hair around the velcro or foam rollers and once done, blow dry your hair, to allow the curls to set in. Once done, you can secure your hairstyle with a setting spray.

The general thumb rule is not to touch the curls when they are hot. Allow it to cool down. If you want to loosen the curls, detangle them gently by running your fingers through the curls. Avoid using a comb. With these tips, using hair curlers is an easy task now. These hair curlers will help you achieve salon-style curls at home.
