The MET Gala 2014: Who Wore What??

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute Gala|The MET Gala 2014 as a tribute to late couturier Charles James saw Hollywood A-listers on the red carpet at their best. This year we saw Victorian flounce and full skirts with plunging necklines, perfectly coiffed hair and some flapper style old school vibe. So let us take a look at the event where you will get to see tailor made designs, glossy couples and Hollywood divas 🙂 .

Some Hollywood beauties paid a fashionable tribute to the theme of the night and went all out in full-skirted glory. Actor Emmy Rosum in her Carolina Herrera number gave a delicious feel of spring with the floral print gown. Model Karolina Kurkove flaunted a gorgeous gown by the label Marchesa. While Actor Sarah Jessica Parker in her monochrome Oscar de la Renta dress made a big style statement, she completed the look with white opera gloves.

Now Let us take a look at those divas who stayed away from grandeur but still managed to charm with their picks. Singer Taylor Swift looked just gorgeous in her soft blush tone gown, while Emma Stone arrived in style in her separates in satin shades of pink. Hollywood beauty Jessica Alba looked lovely in a dull silver-nude gown with a daring neckline.

Jay Z and Beyonce looked picture perfect dressed in Givenchy. The power couple with their striking choices made the shutterbugs go into a flash frenzy. Dressed in Thom Browne, actor Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka also made an impact. They complete the look with statement fishmouth lapels and cropped jackets.

Some Hollywood ladies like Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Nicole Richie and Kate Bosworth didn’t hesitate from daring to bare. While Kate Bosworth brought sexy back in a bare back ensemble, Nicole Richie also flaunted her sexy back adorned with angel wing tattoos with her lavender locks.

Lupita Nyong’o opted for a Prada dress, though I just love Lupita for her impeccable style sense and she should definitely get an applaud for her risqué take on the theme but I guess this time things didn’t fall into place for her. Model Kate Upton choose an odd attire for the night and I have to say the outfit was not classy enough for the night.
