Diwali is coming in a couple of weeks and I am sure that all you girls would be wanting to look your best. It is a festival of light, sweets and crackers and I am sure all of you want to shine bright, look sweet and crack the perfect look. Well keeping this in mind I shortlisted some traditional wear for all of you to wear this Diwali. Diwali is not just a time to share the happiness it can also be a time when we go back to our native places and strengthen our roots. So how about going traditional this Diwali…? Just for this, I collected some of the traditional Indian dresses which will not only make you beautiful and fashionable but also give your look a flavour of our centuries-long tradition. From the north to Gujrat to Maharashtra to down south we have different ways of wearing the same saree. The colour and texture changes, the way of wearing differs. Here we will look at all these kinds of sarees and in addition to it a ghagra choli along with some suits that can make you shine this Diwali.
GHAGRA CHOLI:
People say save the best for the last, but I would begin here with my favourite, that’s a beautiful and perfect ghagra choli. It’s a dream come true kinda attire. With a beautiful ghagra going down to your feet and a perfect choli covered with a netted dupatta. Just as shown in the image, if go with a perfect colour combination this look does wonder. If looks could kill, I bet this one surely would.
MARATHI SAREE:
Are you living in Delhi, but miss that Marathi mulgi look? Or you just want a different look, just to surprise all this Diwali? Well, this saree is quite an option. It looks great when matched with beautiful accessories. I quite love this look its hep, stylish and has a beautiful Marathi flavour. You can even show some lavni moves on Diwali party wearing this…!
GUJRATI SAREE:
The saree is such a beautiful thing, drape it the other way and the look completely changes. Well, gujrati saree is another way of going to the basics. An amazingly stylish way of dressing and celebrating this Diwali the “land of dandia way”. Match it with perfect accessories and feel the magic.
SOUTH INDIAN SAREE:
Want a fragrance of the south? Or want that silky saree you might have seen Vidya Balan wear 10’s of times and surprisingly, look good..! Well, this saree makes everyone look their best and if you completely wanna go the south way you can add gajra to your bun. Beautiful is the word to describe this saree. It is neatly drapped and is just a treat to the eye. Well as for me I like it with open hair, not a bun. But the choice is always yours..!
ANARKALI SUIT:
Well, I am a big fan of this suit, it makes you feel like a queen and surely your beau or husband like a king. Just its making and the look that this suite offers is of some other world. That is the reason it features in this list. Plus not many accessories required just one long earring and to add to it open hair will look perfect. Not much “do do”, but a big thumbs up 😉
A-LINE SUIT
Well to completely go simple, you can go for a beautiful A-line suit like the one in the image. It is simple yet beautiful, sophisticated and classy. Well isn’t that what we want from what we wear…?
LEHENGA SAREE:
Each attire goes well with an occasion and this lovely lehenga saree is nearly perfect for you this Diwali. Going to a Diwali dinner? Or hosting a Diwali party? If you wear this I bet not a single guest will pass you by without a flattering compliment. Match this with a perfect neckpiece and bangles and you are ready to burn that floor where you walk..!
This is it for now, do share with us how did you like it..? are you wearing any of the attire from our shortlist..?? Till then stay stylish, wear traditional…
