ELF Essential Eye Shadow Brush : Review and Pictures

Hey all beauty geeks!!! There was a time when eye shadow applicators, that come with the eye shadow palettes, were the only way I would apply my eye makeup. And, obviously, it never turned out the way I wanted it to be. The problem was the absence of right eye brushes. ELF makes some really good brushes at awesome price points. This attracted me to try their brushes and I have to say that I really liked some of them. Today I am going to review a very basic and a must eye shadow brush from ELF – Essential Eye Shadow Brush.

My take on ELF Essential Eye Shadow Brush:

ELF has very affordable products at different price points. The essential line is the basic range of products from ELF that mostly cost about a dollar. There are lots of makeup brushes offered in this line. ELF Essential Eye Shadow Brush is one of them. The eye brush has a white handle with the name of the brush imprinted towards the end of the brush. This brush is a basic flat shader brush that helps in applying eye shadows to your eye lids. The bristles are really soft and do not feel scratchy on the eye. It picks up good amount of color and applies very evenly as well.

ELF Essential Eye Shadow Brush is not just for applying shadows on your eyelid. Firstly, you can use this single brush to apply two different colors by using the two sides of the brush. Since the bristles are little tapered, you can also use this brush to slightly blend the eye shadows. Further, the tip can be used to place and blend a darker, color in the crease. No, it does not stop here!!! You can also use this brush to apply and smudge eye shadows on your lash line. The brush can also be used to apply highlight to the brow bone area. Isn’t  it the best dollar you would ever spend?? 😉

ELF Essential Eye Shadow Brush is a sturdy brush as well. The handle is quite decent and I have also not observed any major shedding while washing it. It has survived for a long time. 😉

Recommendation: I had bought lot of eye shadow brushes from ELF. However, this is the only one that I still use with my Sigma and Mac brushes. This is a very affordable and an awesome quality brush. If you are serious about eye makeup and do not want to spend lot of money, do check this out. In fact, it is a supposed dupe of the famous Sigma E55 brush. 😉
