Hello gals! Today I am going to review “Lacto Calamine Skin Balance Daily Nourishing Lotion Hydration.” I have always been a big fan of lacto calamine lotions and it is a must have product in my vanityJ. Before this one I was using the oil control version of lacto calamine. The only problem with oil control version was that it is not suitable for winters as my skin requires more moisturisation in winters. So when I saw this hydration version I immediately purchased it. Continue reading to see how this worked for meJ.

My take on Lacto Calamine Skin Balance Daily Nourishing Lotion Hydration

The packaging of this version of lacto calamine is similar to the others. It comes in a plastic bottle with a scroll type lid. The lid of the bottle is quite tight which makes the product travel friendly as it can be carried in a bag without any fear of leakage or spillage. The bottle has a wide mouth which I found really unpractical and unhygienic. Because of such a wide mouth it becomes really difficult to control the amount of product to be dispensed. It has a very mild fragrance which will not at all bother even sensitive nose.

The texture of the lotion is neither too thick nor too runny. Its color is pink/peach very much similar to the other version which is for oil control, I have already tried and reviewed that(LactoCalamine Skin Balance Daily Nourishing Lotion Oil Control). It gets spread easily on my face but it takes some time around 1-2 minutes to get absorbed by the skin. The lotion is moisturising enough as far as my normal to oily skin is concerned. It keeps my skin moisturised for good 7-8 hours. My skin feels soft and supple after applying it on face. It also adds a radiant glow to my face.

I will definitely prefer using this version of lacto calamine over the oil control version in winters as it provides the required moisturisation to dry and stretchy feeling on face. But after winters are over I will switch back to the oil control version as my skin’s oil secretion increases in summers.

When it comes to the lotion’s claims of reducing dark spots and blemishes, I do not think it is that effective on that front but it definitely helps in controlling acne as I have not experienced any acne since I have started using this lotion. So overall I am very happy with this lotion as it provides the much required hydration to skin in winters.
