Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Harvest Brown: Review, Swatches and EOTD

Hey all beauty geeks!!! Today’s review is about Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Harvest Brown. There was a time when eye makeup meant just an eyeliner or a lid color for me. Max to max, add a mascara and I would think of my eye makeup as overdone. However, slowly and steadily, I realized that my kind of eye makeup was probably the most basic eye look. There was much more to learn and to practice. It was during these ‘learning’ days that I stumbled upon crease and transition colors. Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Harvest Brown is one such ‘transition’ color that is slowly becoming my favorite of the lot.

My take on Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Harvest Brown:

Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Harvest Brown comes in a very standard and plain eye shadow pan. The outer packaging is made of plastic and disposable. You can store the eye shadows in the packing itself or buy an eye shadow palette to make a customized one.

Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Harvest Brown is the most used and the versatile eye shadow I have. The eye shadow is a perfect transition color. If you apply it heavily, it also becomes a crease color for fair and medium skin tones. Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Harvest Brown is a warm medium brown with slight orange undertones. I love the warmth it gives to an eye shadow look. Just a swipe of this as a transition color grounds any makeup look. You can wear any fun color on your lid and this shade will sober it down and make it look wearable. The orangey undertone will look fab on Indian skin tones. With a brown cream base underneath, it can also be used as an overall lid color when you choose to go subtle and natural with your eye makeup.

Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Harvest Brown is smooth in texture. It is bit dry when you swatch it, but it applies evenly on the eye. It is easy to blend as well. The pigmentation is semi-opaque, but buildable. I will always recommend using a primer underneath to get the best out of your eye shadows. Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Harvest Brown has an average staying power. Lasts for 5-6 hours on me.
