Lakme 9-5 Weightless Mousse Lip & Cheek colour – Coffee Lite comes in a sleek and classy packaging. I really like the colour of the tube. It is in shiny skin colour which has a slight glossy finish to it. The name of the range is written over the tube. Whereas the shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick. Upper half of the tube packaging is shiny grey in colour. You need to twist the upper half of the packaging so that the applicator comes out. The applicator is slightly bended so that the entire lip is covered. It also makes the application to the corner of the lips easy.
Coming to the shade coffee lite, this is a dark brown colour. The shade is a universally flattering colour and will look great on Indian complexion. The shade will go more with warmer skin tone. It looks amazing with heavy makeup and smokey eyes. It can be a perfect lipstick for office goers or for your brunch outings.
The lipstick has a matte finish to it. It’s more like a liquid lipstick. When you apply the lipstick on your lips, it will glide on smoothly but it settles down very fast. So, you need to be quick with the lipstick. And if you want to re-apply the lipstick then make sure that you apply it neatly else it can easily make the entire application messy. Within few minutes the lipstick tends to set into a matte finish which looks amazing on lips.
The lipstick is truly weightless and thus you won’t feel heavy on lips. The shade is pigmented enough to cover any unevenness on your lips.
Staying power of the lipstick is also quite good. It lasts for a good 6-8 hours without lunch. It easily survives drinks. But with heavier foods the lipstick fades away unevenly but even then the hint of colour is still there.
