Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Red Carpet Review, Swatches & NOTDs

Hello beautiful folks! When I buy nail paints, I always prefer the ones without glitters, but, recently Maybelline New York has launched a new range of Color Show nail paints in Glitter Mania name. So, I thought, I can give this a try and today, I am going to review Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Red Carpet.

My Experience with Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Red Carpet:

Red nail paints are always in fashion and I wanted to try this one as I liked the name ‘red carpet’ which sounds very exclusive and exciting.

I bought this nail paint last week and ever since I am wearing it. First of all, it has loads and loads of glitters, not that I am blaming. The amount of the glitters makes it look like sand-effect on the nails. Generally nail paints (except for matte ones) have this glossy and shiny finish, but this nail paint has only shiny effect due to silver, golden and red glitters in it.

Texture: The nail paint is quite of the right consistency. Swatching once on the nails does not give me the right finish, after the second coat, my nails look like they are covered in sparkly red mod podge! Although, it has uneven and non-glossy finish, yet the glitters are not large or harsh enough to wear. I guess, the uneven and harsh finish was the reason of my hatred towards glittery nail paints.

Shade: The shade is a lovely red and with golden hue in it. The name is quite fitting with the finish of this shade. It looks absolutely gorgeous on the nails and is perfect for party looks.

My Take: The best part of this nail paint (for me) is that it dries very quickly. After applying the first coat, it dries within 7-8 seconds and after the second coat, it takes about 10-12 seconds to dry completely! I do not have much patience to sit and keep hands holding straight out, so this one is now my favorite nail paint.

The staying power is excellent; I am wearing this nail paint, for the last 7 days, and I can tell there is no chipping or fading on my nails except for the tips (I am a housewife now, I need to do chores!) which can be excused. But, honestly, I think, the pigmentation and the staying power are quite satisfying. There is another great thing about this nail paint; the glitters do not fall off. Some of the glittery nail paints gave me the worst experiences of glitters falling out here and there making me angry, but quite surprisingly; this one is far away from that.

Overall, the shade is very gorgeous, the staying power and the pigmentation is also quite commendable. In my opinion, this can be one of the (or the only) top budget glittery nail paints available in India; Maybelline has done it again!
