Hola beautiful folks!
I have always been a very keen eye makeup freak. Though, I am not pro or even that much good in eye makeup, but while watching youtube makeup gurus, I feel like I can do it too and that’s what inspires me most. And, somehow it harms my piggie bank too, I buy eye shadows like a crazy person; this Rimmel London Glam Eyes Quad Eye Shadow-State of Grace I bought from Delhi airport Rimmel London counter! Yeah, that weird!
Price & Quantity: Rs. 550 for 4.2g.
Shelf Life: 2 years.
My Experience with Rimmel London Glam Eyes Quad Eye Shadow-State of Grace:
As I said earlier, I bought this quad when I was at the Delhi airport, bored to death and a glittery and flashy makeup stall appears before my eyes; all of a sudden, I was alive again. I rushed to the counter to browse and pinch my pocket. I wanted to buy lipstick but got this eyeshadow quad anyway. Rimmel London has a variety of shades in this range, but, since this palette had beautiful shades like silver, purple and blues; I thought this would be more useful for me and I was right.
Shades: The top shade is beautiful glittery silver. On the right, it has a lovely sky blue shade, at the bottom, the royal purple and lastly on the left, a light turquoise blue.
Texture & Pigmentation: All the shades are glittery and very smooth in texture. The pigmentation is quite good, but this could have been better. When I swatch with my fingers, the proper pigmented shades come up, but with brushes, it does not. Luckily, this palette has a spongy applicator with it, which makes it lot easier to apply seamlessly.
Staying Power: I do not have oily lids, and I do not use eye shadow primer also, still this eye shadow serves me for a long time. It does not crease but it tends to fade away if not applied in a good amount.
My Take on London Glam Eyes Quad Eye Shadow-State of Grace: I loved all the shades; these shades are quite useful for me. I use the silver shade to highlight my brow-bone and also to brighten the corner of my eyes. The sky blue shade is also very pretty as it suits Indian skin tone, it is not too light. The purple shade is my favorite one, as I often use it as my smokey eyes look. The turquoise blue is not-so my favorite shade but it has also a lovely hue to it.
The spongy applicator has two ends, one side is bigger to use on the upper lids and the other side is smaller to use it as smokey look or to smudge. The only missing thing is a mirror in the palette, but again, the tiny compact size with four shades and an applicator is just enough. I love the pigmentation which is quite decent and the glitters in the shades are also moderate. While wearing, it does not look too flashy or glittery; hence it is absolutely safe to use during daytime too. I guess, the name of this eyeshadow quad is also very appropriate, as the shades are totally full of grace and decency.
