Hello Ladies, How are you all doing? This is my very first post here at this wonderful Indian beauty, fashion and makeup blog and I’m happy to get this opportunity.

I’m not a sun block person but sun blocks are a need of the hour during summers and also if you love your skin then it is essential in every season because our skin needs protection from Sun’s harmful rays as they affect skin badly and escaping a sun block is not a wise idea. Well you guessed it right from my introduction! Yes, my today’s review is about a sun block from the brand Neutrogena and I’ll be reviewing Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch sun block spf 50+

Of course not all women use sunscreen daily and some don’t use it at all and the main reason why we don’t use it daily is because the oily feel that it gives us. Isn’t it? I bought this one because its name itself has the word dry touch what I’ve been looking for in a sun block since forever. Read on to know whether this product is a hit or a miss.

Price: Rs.175 for 30 ml. I got it for Rs.141 from 🙂

Shelf life: 24 months from Mfd

Ingredients: not mentioned

Directions: Apply liberally on face and body 15 – 30 minutes before sun exposure. For added protection, reapply after swimming, towel drying or extended sun exposure.

My Experience with Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch sun block spf 50+

To begin with the packing, it comes in a matte blue and white color tube which is completely opaque. It has a blue translucent screw type cap. Overall the packing is simple and very handy and sturdy at the time. Also it is convenient to carry in the hand bag as it won’t spill. That’s makes it travel friendly too!

About its fragrance:  It has a mild chemical fragrance which  doesn’t fall in the league of soothing fruity and floral ones. But it is not an irritating fragrance so beauties with sensitive noses need not worry
The sun block comes in a semi thick white cream. The texture is very smooth and it is super easy to spread it on the face. It blends in effortlessly and evenly without leaving a white cast. Also it feels very light and non-greasy on skin and also causes no breakouts and didn’t clog pores as per the claim. What I didn’t like about it is that it fails to deliver a matte or rather a dry finish as the name suggests. It makes my face look shiny especially on the T zone. But I use a compact to cover up the shine and then it’s all fine.

About its staying power: It stays for 4-5 hours in Mumbai’s humid Climate without making me sweat like crazy which happens with almost all other sun blocks. If you live in a city like Delhi where the climate is dry and not humid, it might last for 2 more hours or so.
I’m glad to see that this sun block works really well and prevented my skin from tanning to a great extent, thanks to its high spf content.

Pros of Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch sun block spf 50+

  • Sturdy and travel friendly packing
  • Feels light on skin
  • Non greasy , waterproof and sweat proof
  • High SPF Content
  • Doesn’t clog pores
  • Helps in preventing sun tanning effectively
  • Mild fragrance
  • Stays for a fine duration

Cons of Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch sun block spf 50+

  • Ingredients list not mentioned
  • Gives a shiny finish on face
  • Expensive if we compare price with quantity

Rating: 4/5

Final Note: Overall, I’m impressed with this sun block, I don’t mean that this is going to be my HG sun block, I’d like to try other sunscreens and sun blocks with high claims, compare their performance with this one and if this one’s proves to be better than others, I’ll accept it happily as permanent member of my vanity. Have you’ll tried this sun block?

I now wear sunscreen after getting badly burned a few weeks ago. I actually have a tiny sample tube of this and I like it but not sure if I would buy the full size.
