Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone: Review, Swatches and EOTD

Hey all beauty geeks!!! How are you all lovely people? I know I was missing from this Beauty, fashion and makeup blog for some time. But now I am back. And hope to remain active. πŸ™‚ Currently, I am in India for Diwali and fully enjoying the comforts of home. Hope you all had great Diwali. Well! Today’s review is about Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone. Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone is one of the many Coastal Scents eye shadows that I own. This eye shadow is a supposed dupe of MAC Dream Maker, which was a limited edition shade. So all MAC lovers tighten your belt to discover a dupe. πŸ™‚

Product Description:

A 1-inch metal pan that contains a highly pigmented eye shadow for multiple applications.

Price: $1.95.

My take on Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone:

Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone comes in a very plain and standard eye shadow pan. It has an outer disposable plastic packaging. The issue with such packing is that you need to buy separate eye shadow palette for storing them. But, then the advantage is that you can pick the colors you need and make a palette yourself. πŸ™‚

Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone is a very beautiful shimmery eye shadow. It is a muted beige with golden shimmers. The shimmers are not very chunky, rather very subtle. The golden shimmers give a slight yellow hue to the eye shadow. Though with a white base underneath, you can get a neutral undertone. Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone is a very versatile shadow to have. You can use it as an overall lid color for a shimmery look. It is also a wonderful brow bone and inner corner highlighter. For the more daring, it can also serve as a cheek highlighter as the shimmers are finely milled. I love to use it as an inner corner highlighter and an overall lid color with a medium brown in the crease. Simple but still special look.

Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone is a smooth eye shadow. There is a bit fallout as expected of shimmery eye shadows. It goes on even and blends easily. The pigmentation is sheer, though the company does describe it as semi-opaque. You definitely need a base or a primer for the color to show though. It stays on for 5-6 hours on my oily lids. And does not crease at all.

Pros of Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone:

  • Beautiful neutral beige with golden shimmer.
  • Subtle shimmers.
  • Supposed dupe of MAC Dream Maker eye shadow.
  • Smooth texture.
  • Blends easily.
  • Does not crease.
  • Good staying power.
  • Easy to use.
  • Can be used dry or wet.
  • Versatile shade.
  • Super cheap.
  • Awesome quality compared to the price.

Cons of Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone:

  • Little fallout.
  • Sheer pigmentation.
  • Primer is mandatory.
  • Inconvenient packaging.
  • Limited availability.

BFF Rating: 3/5

Recommendation: Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Fleshtone is an awesome shadow to own. I love the versatility it provides. One can make a stunning eye look using just this shadow and an eye liner. A good quality eye shadow at an affordable price point and a dupe of a MAC limited edition shade. If you are ok with using a primer underneath, you should look at owing this eye shadow for sure.
