Malini Ramani Collection at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Autumn Winter 2014 was titled Glamourette. She was at her best this time and decided to go the Indian way for her autumn-winter collection. Her collection was dominated by sarees, though there were figure hugging dresses and thigh high slits too. What enhanced the Indian look was the use of bindis on foreheads and the winged eye makeup which reminded me of yesteryears bollywood heroines.
She made use of the designs that had mirrors, sequins and shells(her trade mark style). Chiffon, silk jersey and tulle were the fabrics used by her. True to the collection’s theme she used gold on black. You can easily figure out from the pictures that black remained the dominant color in her collection :). “All of us love black…I love using gold. My collection had a little bit of transparency too. I just wanted it to be sexy and Indian. I like stretch so, I used lycra. Other fabrics were chiffon and silk jersey,” Malini said.
I do not think any style and fashion lover should miss her show. Her collection was glamorous enough to set the ramp on fire :). I have always loved the color black and I just loved the way she used golden with black.
How do you find this collection??
