Well today is Sallu’s 49th birthday, so we will talk about just him! Today I will be writing two posts for this handsome hunk of Bollywood. This is the first one of the lot. In this one we will look at how and why he is someone he is. He has great respect in Bollywood and is considered the god father of many. He has also some qualities about him which make him what he is today. We will take a look at some of the lesser known facts about the actor on his birthday.

Yes, not many people know he debuted with ‘Biwi Ho Toh Aisi’ starring Rekha and Farooq Sheikh. He then acted in a solo hero film which was named ‘Maine Pyar Kia.’ This movie became the biggest hit of the year and the top overseas grosser breaking all records.
He is the person people call when they need help:
Well he is someone who is a friend and can be called one in the true sense. All people who are friends with him tell about how helpful he is. He brought back Govinda into movies, helped Sushmita at the time when she needed a friend and did the supporting role in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ just for Karan Johar.
He loves new talent and has introduced some of the finest talents Bollywood has:
Not many people know that he has introduced some fine young talent like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Himesh Reshamia, Sajid Wajid in the industry among many others. The list just goes on and on. He always supports young blood and has also introduced and helped many new actresses like Katrina Kaif, Zarine Khan, Sneha Ulal and many more in finding a foot in Bollywood.

Not just for Bollywood celebs but also for needy, he is always there. His work with the foundation ‘Being Human’ proves the point for this. He has helped many needy people with this NGO and also spread awareness for the same. With him doing charity has set a trend in India and now charity has become something very stylish which everyone wants to do.
He has a distinct dancing style:
From his ‘O O Janejana’ dance moves to the towel move in ‘Jawani Phir Na Aae.’ There is no star who can match the style of this man. He is witty and stylish with whatever he does. We loved the ‘Chulbul Pandey’ style dance in ‘Munni Badnam Hui.’ Well I think a whole new dance form can be named after him and can be called Salmanowood dancing.

He has a mass appeal and while all other actors like Sharukh and Aamir are crowd pullers in A grade cities and towns, he pulls crowd in each and every village of the country. People worship his style. From his bracelet to his hair. You can see each thing being copied by the masses. His ‘Tere Naam’ hair style broke all records in this matter and you could see one guy out of every 10 who would have his hair like that.

It doesn’t matter if he gives 20 flops on the trot or doesn’t even show up on the silver screen for years. He still holds the same grip on his fans. His fans love and worship him no matter whether his films are hits or flops. Films run because of him and his attitude which people just love. He might be considered as the Bad Boy of Bollywood but he has the greatest heart you will find in the industry and everyone agrees to that.
