Hey, today I am going review a mousse foundation of lakme at this India beauty, fashion and makeup blog. Even though, I am not a mousse lover but I could not stop myself of using “Lakme matt skin natural mousse” as I heard so much about it. And I think it was a good decision of using it, since I never regretted my choice. When I bought it, I was so confused about it but when I took the first swatch, my every confusion vanished. And today I am sharing my experience with you. Let’s move towards the review. 🙂

My experience with lakme matt skin natural mousse:

When I saw it at a cosmetic shop, it was like a “love at first sight” to me. Its packaging is just adorable. It comes in a very classy looking ball like pot as you can see in the image. There is a steel silver coloured lower compartment which holds the foundation and a glass silver screw lid on the top. But its packaging is unhygienic too as it gets messy on the edges of pot. Also it is heavy too and being delicate it is not travel friendly.

When it was launched, it was for INR 550 and now its price has increased to 700 INR. When I bought Lakme matt skin natural mousse, it was offering 3 shades: IVORY FAIR, GOLDEN MEDIUM and BEIGE HONEY. But now you can get 3 more shades: ALMOND HONEY, ROSE FAIR and GOLDEN LIGHT.

I chose GOLDEN MEDIUM shade. It suits my skin tone very much and gives a natural look. I think it will suit every skin tone. The texture of the mousse is really soft and smooth thus blends easily. It actually stands on its claims and gives a perfect matt finish. I can use it any time as it doesn’t give any shimmering effect.

Although it doesn’t claim to be sweat proof, but I think it is an ideal foundation for summers since it works well with sweat too. It doesn’t leave any white scum on my skin. Its staying power is not 16 hours as it claims, but it is praiseworthy for the reason that it stays up to 8-9 hours.



It covers pimple spots and hides pores too and leaves a radiant even skin tone behind. Considering its price, it is a really product by Lakme.
