Greetings fellas! Today we talk on yet another blooming topic in the world that is Indian ethnicity. It is obviously not a new topic but one that is always in talks. ?Indian ethnicity is vast and unique as well it never is all the same but merges so well. Culture is what brings us all together on the same plate. Indian ethnicity may seem to fade away in middle of the western influence…But if we ask ourselves, has it ever faded? I think no! To prove this fact in actuality we might for instance take example of Bollywood.

It always in a way has kept it alive starting from the rural corners and finally merging with urban atmosphere. ?Even when we are indulged in what we call as western influence, we never forget our ethnicity and that is how it still continues to be. Todays fashion industry has well enough outlined the charismatic impressions of royal ethnic wear. What really constitutes Indian ethnicity in terms of clothing let us see.

For the ladies-

  • Sarees
  • Kurtis/kameez
  • Salwar
  • Lehngas/ghagra choli
  • Bridal wear etc.

For the men-

  • Sherwani
  • Dhoti/lungi
  • Kurtas
  • Pathani
  • Colorful turbans

These ethnicities of course depend on the geographic and climatic conditions, like Salwaar kameez is popular in Haryana and Punjab. Traditional saris in Bengal. Lungis in southern part of India. What really makes Indian ethnic wear amazing and different from any other couture is that every step in our country brings a different and unique style which never fails to amaze us. Ghagra choli and colorful turbans for instance is a recognizable mark for the rajasthanis and north western people. For the Mizo women (Mizoram) the most favorite is Puan which is a bit similar to churidars.

When is world ethnic day?

It is celebrated on 19th of June.

And so you just know that Vidya Balan has become the face of world ethnic day which is going to be celebrated globally by Craftsvilla on June 19th. We pretty much see Vidya Balan sporting gorgeous saris at events, so this pretty much stood on her side. The website says that by celebrating World Ethnic Day we will get back to our roots thats true.

Indian ethnic wear showcased by Bollywood and fashion industry has always influenced the overall generation. The designers come up with such vibrant and captivating designs and costumes that you would be so highly mesmerized and would love to try them on. The heavy and royal embroideries, the pretty out linings and precious works just capture you totally. The replicas are although always available online and in stores as well. I personally am fond of lehangas and collar neck kurtis.

There are many fashion designers who brought forward our country in showcasing the Indian ethnicity.

  • Manish Malhotra
  • Ritu Kumar
  • Sandeep khosla and many more.

We often get to watch their outstanding talents in the events and award shows. These have worked with many actors and actresses.
