Orange lipstick is the latest trend nowadays. I was not very courageous to wear this shade earlier but when I saw this colorbar Velvet Matte obsessed orange lipstick in my nearby store, I couldn’t resist myself from purchasing it. The shade was absolutely gorgeous and the price was reasonable too. I just bought it without thinking twice.

My take on Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Obsessed Orange:

Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick comes in standard silver packaging with transparent plastic cap on top. The packaging has a shiny band of color at the bottom which makes it easy to identify especially if you have many velvet matte lipsticks. The shiny band can be separated and used as lip color, isn’t it great? So, if you finish the lipstick and still waiting for new one to arrive, you can detach the shiny band and can use it with the help of lip-brush. The packaging is good and travel friendly.

Obsessed orange is an exact orange shade without any pink or red undertones. I have not seen this perfect-orange shade in other brands yet. It’s a unique color and it will suit Indian skin tones really well. The shade can be applied as a bold orange shade or you can also apply it as a tint, whatever you prefer. The shade might look frightening neon in the bullet but when applied it looks perfect orange shade, without glitters or shimmers in it. Shimmers are a big no-no for me and I’m glad it doesn’t contain any glittery stuff. The pigmentation is controllable and I have seen people with dusky skin-tone rocking this lip-color. So, don’t be afraid that it would not suit you.

The texture of the lipstick is creamy that spreads easily on lips without tugging. The formula is matte but it isn’t dry like other matte lipsticks available in the market. It adds nice sheen to my lips which strays for 1 hour. The color bleeds slightly but once you use lip-liner it doesn’t. So, I would suggest you to use a lip-liner to avoid bleeding. It doesn’t transfer or stain my lips. The lipstick is highly pigmented and you can control the pigmentation accordingly. The lipstick stays for maximum 4 hours on my lips with slight meals in between. Considering, the price tag I am very happy with the staying power. It fades evenly without flaking my lips which is the best thing. The texture of the lipstick is light weight and non-sticky. The lipstick has mild artificial fragrance which vanishes after 5 minutes of application. I didn’t find it bothering but some of you might not like the scent. Overall, I love using this lipstick everyday and as the name says, I’m obsessed with orange.

I just love everything about the lipstick; the shade, the texture, the finish, price, packaging and the staying power. If you love orange lipsticks then you will definitely be obsessed with this obsessed orange lipstick. I highly recommend it.
