I have a fascination for BB and CC creams; I found them to be very useful for everyday wear without looking like ‘all made up’. Although I do not believe that they do any good to my skin while making my face look evenly toned as per the brands claim. But, still we all love short cuts and using these BB and CC creams is the greatest short cut to look good without much effort. Today, I am going to review The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream.
Product Description: Our new All-In-One BB cream transforms from a white cream to suit your skin tone. Pigment-filled capsules burst when applied to the skin, releasing the color inside. Just blend for a perfect match and an even, undetectable finish. Its make-up and skin care in one.

My Experience with The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream:
Packaging: This BB cream has a rocking outlook. The combination of silver and black is quite attractive. It is a small tube with screw cap at the bottom. The tube packaging is very hygienic and easy to carry as well as easy to use.
Texture & Fragrance: The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream is quite different compared to other creams available in the market as it has a magic reaction in it. The cream is semi-thick liquid in grayish white color and it has a lot of small pigment beads in it. While blending the product on to my skin, the white color slowly turns into tinted cream. But, it still has three shades; 01, 02, 03. The SA in the shop gave me 03 which looked to be my shade, but unfortunately it’s not!
The texture of this cream is the best part; it has almost unnoticeable and seamless finish with medium coverage. It gives a lovely glowing finish to the skin which seems to be a natural glow.
But, I do not like the fragrance at all! It has a weird and bad fragrance in it which seems to be of some chemical or mechanical thing!
Shade: I have the shade 03 which is slightly pink toned warm shade. I use MAC 42-43 shade and this shade looks little bit warmer on my face. 02 would be little lighter and 01 would be the lightest shade.
My Take: When I visited The Body Shop counter at Select City Walk, Delhi; my face was all tanned and exhausted and the SA without a second thought picked up the warmest shade of this BB cream i.e. 03 and gave it to me. Honestly, I also thought this shade will be perfect for me. But when I applied it on my face, my face looked like covered in mud. Maybe the 02 shade would suit me more. And now, I have no feelings other than cursing for that SA! 😛
The staying power of this BB cream is excellent. I spent 8 hours in my cousin’s wedding in the hot month of April, and with even all the sweating, my make up was intact. Although, I did use some other products to seal the makeup and since it was day time, it looked quite acceptable. I have combination skin, with T-zone oily and after 4-5 hours, the side of my nose started to feel little bit oily. I have used it twice till now and both for the longest time; it never broke me out or gave any rashes. I have super-sensitive and, I think, this one is skin-friendly.
This cream has just the perfect coverage. It covers my flaws quite nicely making my face look evenly toned. One pea size amount of this cream is quite enough for my whole face and neck and thus 25ml will survive a long way.
First of all, I liked the packaging and the idea of magic cream which changes its color. It also has very good coverage and the finish, the excellent staying power. But, the question is, would you prefer to spend Rs. 1395 on a BB cream or spend a little more and get a MAC foundation?
Pros of Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream 03:

- Travel friendly.
- Beautifully tinted.
- Gives glowing finish.
- Medium to full coverage.
- Gives a seamless texture to the skin.
- Covers flaws easily.
- A small amount is required.
- Blends and absorbs pretty well.
- No break-outs.
Cons of Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream 03:
- Unpleasant fragrance.
- Expensive for a BB cream.
Overall Rating: 4/5.
My Recommendation: The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream is a lovely BB cream with medium to full coverage and with glowing finish. The staying power is excellent and it is also skin-friendly. The 1400 price tag is definitely a big issue for a BB cream but I guess the result is what matters the most. I would definitely try the 02 shade in future.
